【請求項1】 試料中に存在する標的核酸分子を定量的に分析する方法において、
標的核酸分子の離れた2つの塩基配列領域に対してそれぞれ相補的である塩基配列を有する第1および第2のプライマ分子と標的核酸分子を含む生物学的試料とを含んだ混合液を核酸増幅が達成されるようにハイブリダイゼーション反応が可能な状態に維持する増幅工程、ここで、いずれか一方のプライマは追跡可能な標識分子で標識されており、少なくとも標識されたプライマの混合数は既知である、
少なくとも1回の増幅工程を実行した上記混合液の少なくとも一部を用いて、標識分子に関する測定データを得る測定工程、
上記想定データに基づいて標的核酸分子の分子数あるいは分子サイズを決定する決定工程、
とを有することを特徴とする標的核酸の定量分析方法。
