Next, a method of manufacturing the planter P will be described with reference to FIGS. First, as shown in FIG. 2, a columnar or prismatic styrofoam material 1 slightly larger than the desired final shape of the planter P is prepared. This styrofoam material 1 is desirably hardened to some extent. Next, the massive styrofoam material 1 is roughly cut with a saw or a cutter to form a planter substrate 2 having a shape close to a desired rock or tree. Next, as shown in FIG. 3, three concave portions 3a and 3 for planting flowers by drilling the upper surface 4 and the trunk portion 5 of the planter base 2 with a drill or the like.
b and 3c are provided at predetermined positions. Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 4, holes are drilled from the bottom of the upper recess 3a toward the upper inner peripheral surfaces of the middle recess 3b and the lower recess 3c to form drain passages 8a and 8b. . Finally, holes are drilled from the lower part of the front surface of the planter base 2 toward the bottoms of the recesses 3b, 3c to form drainage channels 8c, 8d.

In the next step, as shown in FIG. 5, the surface of the rough-cut planter substrate 2 is brushed with a wire brush 6 to make irregularities or roundness so that the shape of the details is adjusted. If you want a rough rock or woodgrain,
The entire surface of the planter substrate 2 is scratched with a wire brush 6 so as to make a fluff. The surface treatment step using the wire brush 6 is important not only for adjusting the shape of the surface of the planter base 2 but also for forming a base when heating and melting in a later step. is there.

Next, as shown in FIG. 6, the surface of the planter substrate 2 is heated and melted by applying a burner 7 to the surface of the planter substrate 2 to make the surface more uneven or rounded to have a more natural shape. Cool and cure. By heating and melting the surface in this manner, the shape of the planter substrate 2 can be freely formed and the surface hardness can be increased. In addition, blasting using the burner 7 only melts the surface of the planter base 2 and does not burn the surface, so that no harmful substances such as dioxin are generated and the environment is adversely affected. There is no fear.

Next, as shown in FIG. 7, a cement material 13 is thinly applied with a brush 12 on the entire surface of the planter substrate 2 after being heated and melted by the burner 7. Not only on the outer surface,
The inner surfaces of the three concave portions 3a, 3b, 3c are also thinly applied.
In this embodiment, a small amount of sand and an aqueous synthetic adhesive are mixed with cement. By doing so, cement material 1
3 is given stickiness and surface strength and durability are increased,
It becomes familiar with the surface of the planter substrate 2 and improves the adhesion.
The brittleness of the styrofoam material 1 constituting the planter substrate 2 is compensated. That is, since the elasticity is obtained due to the stickiness of the cement material 13, even if the surface is hit after solidification, the cement material 13 has a large resistance to impacts such as not being shattered. In addition, since there is stickiness, as shown in FIG. 7, the cement material 13 can be hardened with the brush 12. Therefore, even if the operation is performed with the planter base 2 standing, the cement material 13 applied to the surface does not flow down, and the operation speed is increased. In addition, the cement material 13 can be applied by spraying in addition to the means for solidifying with the brush 12 as shown in FIG.

Next, after the cement material 13 applied to the surface of the planter substrate 2 is dried and solidified, the process proceeds to a coating step. In this coating step, as shown in FIG. 8, a coating gun 9 is used to spray paint over the entire surface of the planter base 2 so as to give a rock-like or tree-like color tone. The type of the paint 10 is not particularly limited, but for example, an aqueous alkyd synthetic resin paint can be used. By selecting the type of paint or changing the blending ratio, a desired color tone such as rock style or tree style can be selected. In addition, it is needless to say that the above-mentioned coating step is not limited to only spray coating, but may be coating with a brush or doping. In this way, a series of manufacturing steps are completed through the coating step, and as shown in FIG. 9, potting recesses 3a, 3b, 3c are formed in three places of the planter base 2.
Is completed.
