Domanda di brevetto per invenzione industriale dal titolo:
“Dispositivo e metodo di applicazione di nastro biadesivo ad un supporto”
DESCRIZIONE
Campo dell’invenzione
La presente invenzione si riferisce ad un dispositivo e metodo di applicazione di nastro biadesivo ad un supporto.
Stato della tecnica
Esistono processi industriali in cui è necessario applicare una delle due facce adesive di un nastro biadesivo su un supporto meccanico.
Tale supporto meccanico, potrà, grazie all’applicazione del nastro biadesivo, essere attaccato ad altri oggetti o parti di essi.
In alcuni di detti processi industriali risulta necessario riscaldare il nastro biadesivo allo scopo di attivarne la superficie adesiva destinata ad attaccarsi a detto supporto. In tal caso si parla di nastro biadesivo termoattivabile.
Spesso risulta necessario dover riscaldare anche il supporto, allo scopo di eliminare residui di oli e grassi che ridurrebbero drasticamente il potere adesivo del nastro biadesivo.
Per determinare questo aumento di temperatura vengono utilizzati dei sistemi di riscaldamento, quali, ad esempio, getti di aria calda o radiazione infrarossa generata da apposite lampade.
Tali sistemi devono essere in grado di riscaldare sia di riscaldare il nastro biadesivo senza andare oltre la temperatura di attivazione, altrimenti si rischia di danneggiare la conformazione meccanica del nastro. Infatti, molto spesso i nastri biadesivi sono fatti di materiali plastici che fondono a 150 - 250 °C, a fronte di una temperatura di attivazione del nastro di circa 140 °C.
Si comprende allora quanto sia delicata la procedura di riscaldamento del nastro biadesivo soprattutto se deve essere riscaldato anche il supporto a cui il nastro è destinato ad essere applicato.
Tale problema risulta ancora più grave se si tiene presente che il nastro biadesivo deve essere applicato con una certa forza sul supporto e a velocità di scorrimento di 10- 20 metri/minuto ed anche maggiore.
La tecnica nota propone sistemi di guida complessi atti a resistere a forti escursioni termiche. Ad esempio nello scaldare sia il biadesivo che il materiale di supporto le pulegge di guida del nastro e/o del supporto tendono a riscaldarsi per conduzione termica, per cui può accadere che la temperatura delle pulegge di guida giungano ad una temperatura tale da attivare il nastro prima che esso giunga nel punto di applicazione al supporto con un conseguente cattivo risultato. Pertanto, la tecnica nota ricorre, in modo oramai consolidato, all’utilizzo di circuiti di raffreddamento a mezzo di liquido refrigerante che percorrendo canali realizzati all’interno delle pulegge di guida al fine di mantenerle ad una temperatura inferiore a quella limite.
Inoltre, il fatto di riscaldare anche il materiale dì supporto fa si che questo si dilati per ritornare alle dimensioni originali a raffreddamento compiuto. Il differente coefficiente di dilatazione termica tra il nastro biadesivo ed il supporto determina stati tensionali a raffreddamento compiuto e la comparsa di grinze sul sullo strato di protezione, detto in lingua anglosassone liner, della faccia adesiva del nastro biadesivo non interessata in questa fase di lavorazione. Detti tensionamenti meccanici possono essere particolarmente problematici quando il nastro biadesivo viene applicato a supporti di materiale elastico tipo, ad esempio, guarnizioni in gomma. Inoltre, per poter ulteriormente manipolare il prodotto lavorato comprendente il supporto a cui è stato applicato il nastro biadesivo è necessario attendere il tempo di raffreddamento del prodotto, con ulteriori accorgimenti tecnici che determinano ulteriori costi.
Dunque, la tecnica nota, malgrado la predisposizione di complessi sistemi di raffreddamento delle pulegge di guida del nastro biadesivo ed, eventualmente, dei supporto, non è in grado di garantire un risultato costantemente accettabile, soprattutto se si pensa che le caratteristiche fisico-meccaniche dei prodotti possono variare molto in relazione ai fornitori e alle diverse partite, per cui, questi processi industriali necessitano di un periodo di affinamento delle regolazioni di funzionamento delle macchine che comportano una almeno temporanea produzione di prodotti difettosi.
Sommario dell'invenzione
Scopo della presente invenzione è quello di fornire un dispositivo di applicazione di nastro biadesivo ad un supporto atto a risolvere il suddetto problema di riscaldamento non corretto o prematuro del nastro biadesivo e/o dell’eccessiva dilatazione termica del materiale di supporto.
E' oggetto della presente invenzione un dispositivo di applicazione di nastro biadesivo ad un supporto che, conformemente alla rivendicazione 1 , comprende una sorgente di calore atta ad attivare il nastro biadesivo e a riscaldare il supporto caratterizzato dal fatto che detta sorgente è un laser.
L’impiego di una sorgente laser per riscaldare il nastro biadesivo, consente di produrre un riscaldamento locale delle sole parti interessate al riscaldamento e nel momento immediatamente prima all’applicazione nel nastro biadesivo al supporto, eliminando detti problemi di riscaldamento prematuro per conduzione di mezzi e pulegge di guida del nastro biadesivo oppure del supporto a cui il nastro è destinato ad essere applicato.
Conseguentemente alla soluzione presentata, si rende possibile semplificare i mezzi di guida e trascinamento del nastro biadesivo e del supporto, potendosi eliminare i relativi sistemi di raffreddamento a liquido con notevole risparmio dei costi di costruzione degli impianti e della relativa manutenzione.
Secondo un altro aspetto dell’invenzione detto dispositivo può comprendere una sorgente laser atta a illuminare riscaldando contemporaneamente il nastro biadesivo ed il supporto, oppure almeno una prima sorgente laser atta a riscaldare attivando il nastro biadesivo ed almeno una seconda sorgente laser atta a riscaldare il materiale di supporto.
Secondo un ulteriore aspetto della presente invenzione è pure oggetto della presente invenzione, conformemente alla rivendicazione 5, un metodo di applicazione di un nastro biadesivo ad un supporto comprendente la procedura di attivare il nastro biadesivo a mezzo di una sorgente laser.
Le rivendicazioni dipendenti descrivono realizzazioni preferite dell’invenzione, formando parte integrante della presente descrizione.

Ulteriori caratteristiche e vantaggi dell'invenzione risulteranno maggiormente evidenti alla luce della descrizione dettagliata di forme di realizzazione preferite, ma non esclusive, di un dispositivo di applicazione di nastro biadesivo ad un supporto, illustrato a titolo esemplificativo e non limitativo, con l’ausilio delle unite tavole di disegno in cui:
la Fig. 1 rappresenta schematicamente il trovato secondo una variante comprendente una sola sorgente laser;
la Fig. 2 rappresenta schematicamente un variante del trovato comprendente due sorgenti laser.
Gli stessi numeri e le stesse lettere di riferimento nelle figure identificano gli stessi elementi o componenti.
Descrizione in dettaglio di una forma di realizzazione preferita dell'invenzione Un dispositivo di applicazione di un nastro biadesivo conforme col presente trovato comprende una prima puleggia 4 di guida del nastro biadesivo 2 contrapposta con una seconda puleggia 5 di guida del supporto 3 e una sorgente laser 1 atta a proiettare un fascio laser 11.
Dette pulegge contrapposte sono accostate in modo da comprimere, durante il loro movimento indicato dalle frecce, il nastro biadesivo sul supporto. Il fascio laser 11 è atto a colpire sia il nastro biadesivo che il supporto poco prima che i due vengano compressi l’uno sull’altro da dette pulegge contrapposte. Il prodotto ottenuto 23 rappresenta il supporto 3 con applicato il nastro biadesivo 2.
In sostanza il fascio laser ha un sufficiente diametro per poter colpire contemporaneamente il biadesivo e il materiale di supporto direttamente nella zona in cui essi vengono a contatto. Il fascio laser è in grado di scaldare molto di più e soprattutto in modo regolare e con temperatura controllata le superfici dei due materiali. Per questo motivo e possibile bruciare i depositi oleosi presenti sulla superficie del materiale di supporto senza scaldarlo internamente e di conseguenza modificare le dimensioni meccaniche di esso. Inoltre essendo il fascio laser puntato solamente sulla zona voluta, non si provoca il riscaldamento della puleggia di guida del biadesivo e del liner del biadesivo stesso, permettendo di eliminare i sistemi di raffreddamento normalmente utilizzati con una notevole semplificazione del l’intero sistema.
Secondo un’altra variante, conformemente alla figura 2, le sorgenti laser sono due, cioè 1 e 1’, di cui una prima sorgente 1 è predisposta in modo che il suo fascio laser 11 colpisca il nastro biadesivo 2 ed una seconda sorgente laser 1’ predisposta in modo che il proprio fascio laser 11’ colpisca il supporto 3.
La velocità di rotazione delle due pulegge e la pressione esercitata da esse sul punto di contatto tra biadesivo e materiale di supporto, sono regolabili.
Utilizzando un fascio laser è possibile garantire costantemente la temperatura di 140 °C sulla superficie del biadesivo termoattivabile, in quanto la potenza del laser può dipendere in tempo reale dalla velocità di scorrimento del materiale. Viene utilizzato un trasduttore di velocità, detto encoder, per rendere la potenza direttamente proporzionale alla velocità. Quest’ultima può anche dipendere da sensori ottici di temperatura direzionati verso il punto di contatto ed atti a misurare la temperatura superficiale del nastro biadesivo e/o del supporto.
Inoltre il diametro del fascio laser può essere variato anch’esso al variare delle applicazioni.
Il prodotto ottenuto 23 in uscita da dette pulegge contrapposte, ritorna quasi immediatamente alla temperatura ambiente, con notevole riduzione di problematiche di arricciamento e tensionamento meccanico tra i due materiali uniti e con la possibilità di essere maneggiato senza particolari cautele.
La sorgente laser è un’apparecchiatura dalle dimensioni limitate che trova facile alloggiamento in qualsiasi posizione e che può operare a parecchi millimetri di distanza dal punto in cui il fascio laser è puntato.
Vantaggiosamente, la soluzione proposta consente di eliminare la fase di preriscaldamento del nastro biadesivo e/o del supposto, garantendo la corretta temperatura di attivazione del nastro biadesivo immediatamente prima della sua applicazione al supporto senza alzare la temperatura degli elementi dell’impianto a contatto con il nastro biadesivo o con il supporto.
Sono chiari i vantaggi derivanti dall’applicazione della presente invenzione:
- eliminazione dell’operazione di preriscaldamento del supporto,
- maggiore controllo della temperatura nel punto/momento di applicazione del nastro biadesivo al supporto,
- circoscrizione del riscaldamento alle sole zone di applicazione del nastro biadesivo e del supporto,
- eliminazione dei sistemi di raffreddamento delle pulegge di guida originariamente destinato a non influenzare il punto/momento di attivazione del collante presente sul nastro biadesivo,
- maggiore velocità di esecuzione dell’applicazione del nastro biadesivo, dovuta alla maggiore incisività e selettività del fascio laser rispetto ai sistemi noti.
Gli elementi e le caratteristiche illustrate nelle diverse forme di realizzazione preferite possono essere combinate senza peraltro uscire dall’ambito di protezione della presente domanda.
Claims (7)
- RIVENDICAZIONI 1. Dispositivo di applicazione di nastro biadesivo (2) ad un supporto (3) comprende una sorgente di calore (1) atta ad attivare il nastro biadesivo (2) caratterizzato dal fatto che detta sorgente è un laser (1).
- 2. Dispositivo secondo la rivendicazione 1, in cui detta sorgente laser (1) è ulteriormente atta a riscaldare il supporto (3),
- 3. Dispositivo secondo la rivendicazione 1, comprendete una sorgente laser (1) predisposta per attivare il nastro biadesivo (2) ed una ulteriore sorgente laser (1’) predisposta per riscaldare il supporto (3).
- 4. Dispositivo secondo le rivendicazioni precedenti, comprendente una prima puleggia (4) di guida del nastro biadesivo (2) contrapposta con una seconda puleggia (5) di guida del supporto (3), essendo dette pulegge accostate in modo da comprimere il nastro biadesivo (2) sul supporto (3) ed essendo un fascio laser laser (11) generato da detta sorgente laser (1) atto a colpire almeno il nastro biadesivo (2) poco prima di essere applicato sul supporto (3) da dette pulegge contrapposte.
- 5. Metodo di applicazione di un nastro biadesivo (2) ad un supporto (3) comprendente la procedura di attivare il nastro biadesivo (2) a mezzo di una sorgente laser (1).
- 6. Metodo secondo la rivendicazione 5, ulteriormente la comprendente la procedura di riscaldare il supporto (3) a mezzo di detta sorgente laser (1).
- 7. Metodo secondo la rivendicazione 5, ulteriormente la comprendente la procedura di riscaldare il supporto (3) a mezzo di una ulteriore sorgente laser (1’).
