Description
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a method of finishing a brushed fabric comprising silk and the brushed fabric directly obtained by means of said method.
In particular, the finishing according to the present invention comprises, as better described below, a raising step.
Raising is a well-known technique in the field of fabric finishing and is usually used on wool and cotton fabrics to create a â € velvetâ € ™ effect.
In fact, this technique consists in lifting the fibers of the threads of the fabric to make it soft and soft: the surface takes on a hairy and velvety appearance that hides the intertwining of the weft and the warp.
As seen, in the textile sector it is known to apply this raising technique on wool and / or cotton fabrics, while the raising technique is not used on more delicate fabrics, such as for example silk because satisfactory results cannot be obtained. . The delicate fabric, in fact, tends to be torn unevenly and the results are not considered acceptable from an aesthetic point of view. The need is therefore felt in art to obtain raising effects also by working on particularly delicate fabrics, such as silk, in order to obtain finished fabrics with high softness characteristics comparable, for example, to those of cashmere.
This need is satisfied by a finishing method according to claim 1 and by a fabric according to claim 12.
Other embodiments of the invention are described in the subsequent claims.
Ulteriori caratteristiche ed i vantaggi della presente invenzione risulteranno maggiormente comprensibili dalla descrizione di seguito riportata di suoi esempi preferiti e non limitativi di realizzazione, in cui: le figure 1-3 rappresentano viste schematiche di una macchina garzatrice durante successive fasi del metodo di finissaggio della presente invenzione; Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will be more understandable from the following description of its preferred and non-limiting embodiment examples, in which: figures 1-3 represent schematic views of a raising machine during subsequent phases of the finishing method of the present invention;
la figura 4 rappresenta una vista schematica di un tessuto; figure 4 represents a schematic view of a fabric;
The finishing method of the present invention is applied to a fabric 4 comprising threads arranged perpendicularly to each other according to a weft 8 and a warp 12. Preferably, the weft 8 is made by means of a single continuous thread.
According to one embodiment, at least the weft is made of silk.
Warp 12 can also be in a different material. The composition of the fabric mentioned above is only one of the possible compositions that fall within the scope of protection of the present invention, and has been provided for purely explanatory and non-exhaustive purposes. Preferably, both the weft 8 and the warp 12 are made of silk.
Before undergoing raising processes by means of raising cylinders, better described below, the fabric 4 is subjected to a drying cycle. In fact, drying is used to increase the effect of softness and fluffiness of the fibers obtainable through raising.
In addition, in order to further increase its vaporiness and softness, the fabric 4 is subjected to the action of products and / or treatments which increase its electrical static. In other words, the external surface of the fabric is electrified in order to facilitate the extraction of the pile from the fabric by the raising cylinders 24.
The fabric thus pre-treated is then subjected to the action of a raising machine 16. Said raising machine 16 comprises at least one raising drum 20 rotating around a main rotation axis Z-Z, according to a direction of rotation G and having a plurality of raising cylinders 24 integral in rotation with said raising drum 20.
In other words, the raising cylinders 24, arranged on the periphery of the raising drum 20, rotate integrally thereto with respect to the main rotation axis Z-Z.
Each raising cylinder 24 is equipped on its own external side wall 28 with a plurality of points 32.
Dette punte 32 sporgono sostanzialmente radialmente rispetto all’asse di garzatura X-X in modo da potersi agganciare al filo di trama 8 e tirarlo verso l’esterno così da portarlo in posizione sopraelevata rispetto all’ordito 12. Said points 32 substantially protrude radially with respect to the raising axis X-X so as to be able to hook onto the weft thread 8 and pull it towards the outside so as to bring it in an elevated position with respect to the warp 12.
Each raising cylinder 24 is rotatable around its own raising axis X-X, parallel to said main rotation axis Z-Z.
Therefore each cylinder rotates simultaneously both with respect to the main rotation axis Z-Z, thanks to the fact that it is fixed to the raising drum 20, and with respect to its own raising axis X-X.
The finishing method of the present invention comprises the steps of carrying out a plurality of steps for raising the fabric 4 on said raising cylinders 24, so as to subject the fabric 4 to the action of the tips 32 of the raising cylinders 24, arranging the weft 8 of the fabric 4 parallel to the raising axes X-X of the raising cylinders 24.
Advantageously, the raising machine 16 is equipped with motor means (not shown) to drive both the raising drum 20 and the raising cylinders 24 in rotation. independently from each other, the speeds and directions of rotation of the various raising cylinders 24.
The raising machine 16 also comprises an inlet cylinder 36 and an outfeed or dragging cylinder 40 which have the function of accompanying the fabric 4 respectively during the inlet and outlet phase between the raising cylinders 24. In particular, the inlet cylinder 36 has a rough outer surface so as to facilitate the gripping and subsequent dragging of the fabric 4. The output cylinder 40 has the function of dragging the fabric out of the machine 12: the output cylinder 40 is equipped with a rotational motion so as to favor the expulsion of the fabric 4 in accordance with the direction of rotation G of the raising drum 20.
Advantageously, consecutive raising cylinders 24 are driven in rotation, with respect to their own raising axes X-X, according to rotation directions Sâ € ™, Sâ € ™ â € ™ opposite each other, alternately.
In other words, the raising cylinders 24, arranged on the periphery of the raising drum 20, are moved in rotation according to rotation directions Sâ € ™, Sâ € ™ â € ™ alternately opposite each other: for example, if the raising drum comprises â € ̃Nâ € ™ raising cylinders, n / 2 raising cylinders 24 will move in a first direction of rotation Sâ € ™, for example clockwise, and the further n / 2 raising cylinders 24 will move in a second direction of rotation Sâ € ™ â € ™, for example counterclockwise, alternating between them. Obviously the directions of rotation Sâ € ™ and Sâ € ™ â € ™ can be reversed, becoming counterclockwise and clockwise respectively (figure 1).
In this way, at each passage of the fabric 4 from one raising cylinder 24â € ™ to the next one 24â € ™ â € ™, there is an inversion of the rotation motion of the cylinders themselves: this inversion favors the lifting of a greater number of threads of weft 8 and helps to increase the volume and softness effect of the fabric 4.
Preferably, the finishing method of the present invention provides for a plurality of passages of the fabric 4 through the raising drum 20.
Preferably the method according to the invention foresees the realization of at least 8 steps.
The first two consecutive passages of the fabric 4, as described above, involve the inversion of the rotation motion of the raising cylinders 24 consecutive to each other.
Preferably, the method provides for the step of making at least two consecutive passages of the fabric 4 on the raising drum 20, in which pairs of consecutive raising cylinders 24 are rotated according to the rotation directions Sâ € ™, Sâ € ™ â € ™ opposite each other (figure 2).
In other words, pairs of consecutive raising cylinders 24â € ™ have the same direction of rotation Sâ € ™; said direction of rotation Sâ € ™ is reversed into an opposite direction of rotation Sâ € ™ â € ™ passing from a pair of consecutive raising cylinders 24â € ™ to the next 24â € ™ â € ™.
Said phase of inversion of the rotation motion of the raising cylinders 24 is less invasive than the first phase in which each raising cylinder 24 has an inverted rotation motion with respect to the previous and subsequent ones.
Preferably, the passages provided with inverted rotation of pairs of cylinders are at least 4.
According to an embodiment, the method provides for the realization phase of at least two final passages, in which a first half of consecutive raising cylinders 24 'is rotated according to a first direction of rotation S' and a second half of raising cylinders 24â € ™ â € ™ consecutive between them is driven in rotation with respect to a second direction of rotation Sâ € ™ â € ™ opposite to said first direction of rotation S (figure 3). In other words, if the raising drum 20 includes â € ̃nâ € ™ raising cylinders 24, the first n / 2 consecutive cylinders will have a first direction of rotation and the subsequent n / 2 raising cylinders 24 will have a second direction of rotation Sâ € ™ â Opposite to the first Sâ € ™.
Preferably, the fabric 4 is made to advance inside the raising drum 20 at a linear advancement speed of less than 3 m / min.
A seguito delle sopra descritte fasi di garzatura, il tessuto 4 viene sottoposto ad almeno una fase di spazzolatura (figura 5) tramite l’azione di cilindri a spazzola 44, rotanti attorno ad assi di spazzolatura W: preferibilmente il tessuto 4 viene disposto in modo da avere la trama 8 parallela a detti assi di spazzolatura W. Following the raising steps described above, the fabric 4 is subjected to at least one brushing phase (Figure 5) by means of the action of brush cylinders 44, rotating around brushing axes W: preferably the fabric 4 is arranged in so as to have the weft 8 parallel to said brushing axes W.
Finally, after brushing, the fabric 4 is subjected to at least one trimming phase to adjust the height of the pile raised by the raising phases. As can be appreciated from what has been described, the finishing method and the relative fabric of the present invention allows to overcome the drawbacks presented in the known art.
It has been found that the particular sequences of steps described in the present invention are particularly effective on fabrics comprising silk. In fact, the sequences of phases listed above give the silk an unusual softness and fluffiness comparable to that of a pure cashmere fabric.
Furthermore, the fabric according to the invention has high thermal insulation power as a high volume fabric is obtained which increases the amount of air retained. The ability to retain a greater amount of air further increases the feeling of softness of the finished fabric.
At the same time, the fabric of the present invention has extremely lower costs than those of a fabric made entirely of precious material, such as for example cashmere, of which it follows the characteristics of lightness and softness.
A person skilled in the art, in order to satisfy contingent and specific needs, will be able to make numerous modifications and variations to the finishing methods and to the fabrics described above, all however contained within the scope of the invention as defined by the following claims.
