Abstract

L'invenzione riguarda un procedimento per la preparazione di epibatidina racemica o otticamente attiva della formula XIV (FORMULA XIV) che comprende il fatto di sottoporre epi-epibatidina racemica od otticamente attiva della formula XIII (FORMULA XIII) ad epimerizzazione in presenza di una base. Il vantaggio del procedimento è che si usano materiali di partenza facilmente reperibili e la procedura è adatta anche per le produzioni su scala industriale. La epibatidina è un noto ingrediente attivo analgesico altamente efficace.
