Brevetto per Invenzione Industriale dal titolo “LETTO A BALDACCHINO A STRUTTURA ANTISISMICA COM MECCANISMO DI CHIUSURA A GRAVITA’”. Patent for Industrial Invention entitled "CANOPY BED WITH ANTI-SEISMIC STRUCTURE WITH GRAVITY CLOSING MECHANISM".
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The invention concerns a canopy structure, to be placed inside rooms, able to offer shelter from the collapse of ceilings, walls or rubble in the event of a serious seismic event. Currently, not all homes are built with anti-seismic criteria. Buildings of historical interest or houses and palaces for public use, built in periods prior to these anti-seismic standards, have dangerous requirements that are not easily resolved. The collapse of the masonry parts, ceilings, walls or floors, or simply of heavy objects in the rooms, can cause impairment or death of the people in the rooms. Furthermore, when the seismic event occurs at night or early in the morning, the chances of survival, given by shorter reaction and escape times, are scarce. The collapse of stairs or the locking of doors can have even worse consequences, as they make it impossible to evacuate people from the building. The object of the result is a metal structure consisting of modular elements, which can be dismantled and reassembled within a room of a building, able to offer shelter from the collapse of the masonry parts or from large objects that can fall on people in the event of an earthquake. Said structure can have the shape of a canopy for a bed in such a way as to be integrated with the furniture of the bedroom or the shape of a gazebo which is placed in an innovative way inside with the function of protection from collapsing masonry works, for shelter and particularly used for buildings frequented by many people. The invention has, in fact, the function of protecting the people present inside the building in such a way as to have an accessible shelter in the event that the exits or escape routes are blocked or not passable due to excessive crowds. The object of the result is also equipped with automatic gravity shutters, activated by mechanical devices, so as to be autonomous and can be activated even in the event of a black-out. The invention constitutes a modular roll-bar metal structure applicable to buildings, capable of increasing the chances of survival of people or of protection for any valuables present in the building, such as expensive machinery, instruments and hospital machines or objects of particular artistic value. Furthermore, the invention has low manufacturing costs and is easy to assemble. These and further objects and advantages of the invention are more evident from the following detailed description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment, together with the attached drawings of sheets 1, 2, 3 and 4 which illustrate purely by way of example and as such do not limiting the object of the result. In particular, in sheet 1, figure 1 is a perspective view of a metal structure for canopy beds with the function of an anti-seismic survival cell. On sheet 2, figure 2 is a perspective view of the same anti-seismic metal structure according to the invention integrated in a canopy bed. On sheet 3, figure 3 is a perspective view of the same structure articulated in the form of a suitably reinforced interior gazebo, with an anti-seismic protection function for groups of people in a public building, such as for use in schools, offices, hotels, museums, meeting rooms or restaurants, or places of worship. Finally, sheet 4 shows shutters with mechanical activation device which can be activated automatically by the seismic movement or by the overturning of the structure. In detail, Figure 4 is a view of a vertically sliding shutter. Figure 5 is a view of a horizontal sliding shutter. The invention consists of a metal roll-bar structure 1 made with beams 2, columns 3, reinforcing elements 4 connected to each other with fastening means such as for example tightening bolts 5. The beams 2, the columns 3 and the elements reinforcement 4 can be made with circular or polygonal section profiles or solid elements according to the specific requirements during the construction phase. Reinforcement plates 6 are fixed to some sides of the metal structure 1, also having the function of stopping the debris outside the survival cell. Inside the metal structure 1 there are handles 7 for the occupants of the survival cell and for not being expelled during the collapse of the building. To increase the protection of the occupants of the anti-seismic survival cell, the invention is equipped with shutters 8, or retractable shutters, arranged along guides 9 on the columns 3 without reinforcement plates 6. The shutters 8, suitably reinforced, are held in place by a mechanical retaining device 10 of a known type which does not retain the shutter in the event of strong seismic movement, overturning of the structure or any rubble fallen on the roof. The force of gravity then causes the shutters 8 to descend along the guides 9 and to close the metal structure 1. In a further embodiment, the guides 9 are arranged along the beams 2, with slope of the guides so as to slide towards the bottom sliding elements 11 translating laterally and downwards. The metal structure 1 can be covered with wooden parts 12 to integrate with the furniture present in the room or with parts made of shock-absorbing material 13, such as rubber or polyurethane foam padding or the like. In complementary form to the anti-seismic metal structure 1, localization systems can be placed under the rubble, radio communication systems and necessities such as to guarantee survival even in the event of prolonged stay under the rubble. The invention is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all falling within the scope of the inventive concept. Furthermore, all the details can be replaced by other technically equivalent ones.
