DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
E’ evidente a chiunque come le condizioni ambientali di una pianta posta a dimora nel suolo siano assai diverse da quelle di una, messa entro un vaso, sia esso in terra cotta, in plastica o in altro materiale. Gli aspetti più evidenti sono l'impossibilità dell’apparato radicale di poter espandersi secondo le necessità previste dalla natura e, in secondo luogo, il diverso stato termico di tale parte della pianta nellarco della giornata. Si lascia ad altri il compito di trovare soluzione al primo problema, cercando invece, con tale idea, di migliorare il secondo aspetto. La temperatura delle radici di una pianta messa a dimora in un giardino o in un prato è abbastanza stabile nellarco di una giornata. I raggi del sole infatti incidono solo sull’area superficiale di pertinenza della pianta. Si può tranquillamente ritenere quasi nullo l’apporto energetico dei raggi obliqui che colpiscono l’area vicina; la terra stessa assorbe ed incamera tale energia rilasciandola lentamente nelle ore notturne. Ben diversa è la situazione di una pianta posta in un vaso. La quantità di energia trasmessa all’apparato radicale è data dalla somma dell’energia radiante incidente quasi ortogonalmente rispetto alla superficie del terreno e da tutta quella energia trasmessa per effetto del riscaldamento perimetrale del vaso. The temperature of the roots of a plant planted in a garden or lawn is quite stable over a day. In fact, the sun's rays only affect the surface area pertaining to the plant. The energy contribution of the oblique rays that strike the nearby area can be safely considered almost zero; the earth itself absorbs and stores this energy, releasing it slowly at night. The situation of a plant placed in a pot is quite different. The amount of energy transmitted to the root system is given by the sum of the radiant energy incident almost orthogonally to the surface of the ground and all that energy transmitted due to the perimeter heating of the vessel.

La soluzione ideata si propone di eliminare buona parte dell’energia trasmessa per irraggiamento trasversale ( parti di TAVOLA 1), sfruttando le correnti d’aria che si possono ottenere in un vaso costruito con due pareti affiancate, separate da una intercapedine di aria, vaso avente una serie di aperture poste sul lato esterno, su due livelli distinti. Quando i raggi del soie colpiranno il vaso, si avrà dapprima un riscaldamento della parete esterna, con successiva propagazione del calore all’aria presente nell’intercapedine ed infine alla parete prossima al terriccio (part,6 di TAVOLA 1). La presenza delle aperture poste su due livelli differenti è determinante per ridurre l’apporto energetico dei raggi incidenti trasversalmente (part.1 di TAVOLA 1) poiché l’aria presente nell'intercapedine, man mano che si riscalda tenderà a salire verso l’alto, uscendo calda (part.4 di TAVOLA 1) dai fori (part.3 di TAVOLA 1) praticati sulla parte superiore della doppia camera e richiamando aria più fresca (part. 5 di TAVOLA 1) entrante nei fori (part.2 di TAVOLA 1) situati inferiormente.
