Hood (8) for the evacuation of fumes of the retractable type in accordance with claim 1, comprising an opening (23) obtained in a lower portion (9a) of said compartment (9) to place said chamber in fluid communication (22) with said compartment (9), said compartment (9) being in turn in fluid communication with a suction opening (10) of said hood (8).

4. Hood (8) for the evacuation of fumes of the retractable type according to claim 3, in which an outlet opening (15) of the centrifugal extractor (13) is placed on a bottom wall (24) of said containment chamber (22).

Hood and cooker assembly comprising: - a kitchen for cooking food (1A) comprising a cabinet structure (1) shaped like a parallelepiped with a base (2) at the bottom, a front vertical wall (3), a rear vertical wall (4) and vertical side walls (5, 6), a cooking surface (7) arranged horizontally on said cabinet structure (1), said cooking surface (7) comprising at least one cooking station; - a hood (8) for the evacuation of fumes of the retractable type comprising a compartment (9) associated with said cabinet structure (1) parallel to said rear vertical part (4), said hood (8) being extractable from said compartment (9) to pass from a position in which it is totally inserted in said compartment (9) to an operating position in which it is located outside the compartment above said hob (7), and vice versa, means (11, 12 ) to effect said displacement of the hood (8) inside the compartment (9) and means (13, 14) for sucking and evacuating said fumes, characterized in that said hood (8) for the evacuation of the fumes of the retractable type comprises a containment chamber (22) of predetermined volume which is associated in tightness with said compartment (9), said means (13, 14) for aspirating and evacuating said fumes are mainly placed in said chamber (22) and partially within said compartment (9).

Hood and cooker assembly according to claim 5 or 6, wherein said means (13, 14) for sucking and evacuating said fumes comprise a centrifugal extractor (13) and an electric motor (14) for its actuation, a part (13a) of said centrifugal aspirator (13) being partially housed within said compartment (9).

8. Hood and cooker assembly according to claim 7, wherein an outlet opening (15) of the centrifugal extractor (13) is placed on a bottom wall (24) of said containment chamber (22) .

9. Hood and cooker assembly according to claim 7, in which the part (13a) of said centrifugal extractor (13) housed in said compartment (9) has a linear overall dimensions of between 78 and 88 mm.

10. Hood and kitchen assembly according to claim 5, wherein said cabinet structure (1) comprises at least one drawer (26) inserted under said hob (7) and extractable from said front vertical wall (3) .
