Abstract
La presente invenzione riguarda un procedimento per la separazione del ferro presente in una soluzione acida di un sale di zinco. La soluzione ha una concentrazione di ioni zinco compresa tra 50 e 500 g/litro, e una concentrazione di ioni ferro compresa tra 1 e 70 g/litro. Il procedimento comprende la ossidazione del ferro da bivalente a trivalente e la sua precipitazione come [Fe2O3 Fe(OH)3]. Il procedimento consente di ottenere una ottima separazione e una elevata velocità di filtrazione del composto precipitato.
