Abstract

La presente invenzione riguarda un metodo di funzionamento di un motore a combustione interna, che almeno temporaneamente viene alimentato con combustibile gassoso, in cui durante un periodo iniziale e di preriscaldamento, almeno finché non entri in funzione il convertitore catalitico, alla camera di combustione viene erogata una miscela di combustibile/aria magra pari a = 1. Il dispositivo formatore di carica comprende mezzi miscelatori, preferibilmente un dispositivo miscelatore del tipo a Venturi variabile, aventi una camera principale del combustibile che sfocia in un passaggio d'aspirazione in cui l'erogazione di combustibile viene controllata da una prima e seconda valvola di comando del combustibile.
