Abstract
Apparecchiatura (1) e metodo per la depurazione del gas di scarico dei motori a combustione interno in cui vi sono i seguenti dispositivi:a) un primo contenitore (2) nel quale si bruciano i prodotti incombusti e i prodotti organici;b) un secondo contenitore (4) ad alta temperatura contenente dell'ossido di zinco dove CO viene ossidato a CO2;c) un primo serbatoio (6) ripieno d'acqua dove si ha la formazione di vapore;d) un secondo serbatoio (9) ripieno di calce nel quale CO2, si lega con essa per formare carbonato di calcio, NO e NO2 formano nitrato di calcio e lo zolfo a sua volta forma CaSO4;e) un contenitore (12) dove avviene la miscelazione dei gas di scarico residui e del vapor d'acqua prodotto nel primo serbatoio (6);f) e da un condotto di evacuazione (13) della miscela gassosa residua.(Figura 1)
