Abstract

Apparecchiatura per generare impulsi luminosi ad alta potenza in cui in un sistema ottico viene utilizzata una fibra ottica drogata con un elemento delle terre rare per facilitare il controllo e la regolazione del dispositivo. La potenza luminosa in uscita e la sua durata di impulso possono essere variate semplicemente cambiando le caratteristiche e la lunghezza della fibra ottica. Nell'apparecchiatura per la produzione di impulsi luminosi ad alta potenza, un'uscita di una sorgente luminosa (2) di pompaggio ottico viene portata in ingresso ad un accoppiatore ottico (3) che costituisce un circuito ottico in cooperazione con la fibra ottica (1) drogata con l'elemento delle terre rare, un disaccoppiatore ottico (4), un interruttore ottico (5A), un isolatore (7) ed una porta di ingresso dell'accoppiatore ottico (3). Chiudendo l'interruttore ottico (5A), si può generare attraverso il circuito ottico un impulso luminoso ad alta potenza che può essere estratto da una porta di uscita del disaccoppiatore ottico (4).
