Il trovato riguarda una cappa d'aspirazione per depurare e asportare esalazioni di cucina, vapore acqueo e simili. Siccome il meccanismo di ventilazione della cappa d'aspirazione non può essere irrobustito a piacere (generazione di rumore, costi del ventilatore, dispendio energetico), una parte delle esalazioni di cucina passa davanti al lato frontale della cappa d'aspirazione. Davanti alla cappa d'aspirazione viene prodotta una cortina d'aria con un ventilatore centrifugo addizionale, la quale comprime le esalazioni di cucina nella zona d'aspirazione della cappa d'aspirazione.
