Abstract

Per poter far fronte alle elevate frequenze dei dati dei segnali video che si riscontrano in un segnale video ad alta definizione, un processore ricorsivo di segnali video per la stima dei vettori di movimento demultipla il segnale video in arrivo in quattro quadranti adiacenti, ognuno dei quali viene elaborato da quattro stimatori di movimento separati. Il processore di segnali video comprende dei selettori per applicare vettori di predizione dal quadrante presente e dai quadranti adiacenti, ad ogni stimatore di movimento. Preferibilmente, i quadranti inferiori C e D vengono elaborati un campo attivo dopo rispetto ai quadranti superiori A e B, mentre i quadranti di destra B e D vengono elaborati una linea attiva dopo dei quadranti di sinistra A e C. Preferibilmente, i quadranti adiacenti evidenziano una sovrapposizione parziale. (Figura 1).
