Abstract

Viene previsto un dispositivo di depurazione dei gas di scarico di un motore a combustione interna, comprendente un involucro esterno di contenimento presentante un'apertura di ingresso ed un'apertura di uscita per il passaggio dei gas di scarico, ed almeno un settore di filtraggio disposto internamente all'involucro esterno tra l'apertura di ingresso e l'apertura di uscita atto a trattenere particelle solide presenti nei gas di scarico. Viene anche previsto un procedimento di depurazione dei gas di scarico, particolarmente di un motore diesel, consistente nel sottoporre preventivamente a filtraggio di tipo meccanico i gas di scarico in modo da trattenere le particelle solide presenti negli stessi e nel sottoporre successivamente a depurazione catalitica i gas di scarico precedentemente filtrati.
