Abstract

Viene insegnato un metodo per fornire migliorata duttilità ad un alluminuro di titanio gamma. Il metodo implica aggiungere inclusioni di boro ad alluminuro di titanio contenente cromo, carbonio e niobio e lavorare termomeccanicamente il getto. Aggiunte di boro sono fatte in concentrazioni tra lo 0,5 e il 2 per cento in atomi. Si trova una microstruttura a grani equiassiali fini dalla massa solidificata.
