Abstract

La presente invenzione riguarda mutanti dell'ormone della crescita umano (hGH) in cui il residuo amminoacidico Arginina (Arg) in posizione 134 della sequenza amminoacidica di hGH naturale è sostituito con un residuo amminoacidico scelto nel gruppo consistente di L-Alanina (Ala), L-Leucina (Leu), L-Treonina (Thr), L-Fenilalanina (Phe), L-Prolina (Pro) o L-Istidina (His), e mezzi e metodi per la loro preparazione.Tali mutanti mostrano una stabilità alla degradazione enzimatica migliorata rispetto e quella dell'hGH naturale ed una attività biologica inalterata.I mutanti sono utili in campo terapeutico nel trattamento di disfunzioni ipofisarie e nella cura di stati patologici, quali ustioni, distrofia, pseudoartrosi e fratture ossee.
