Abstract

Variatore di velocità idrodinamico, costituito da un corpo cilindrico cavo e chiuso a tenuta, provvisto di un condotto di alimentazione e uno di scarico fra loro coassiali e perpendicolari all'asse di detto corpo cavo; al condotto di alimentazione è associata una pompa idraulica a portata costante, mentre all'interno del corpo cavo è montato girevole e traslabile a tenuta di fluido un rotore provvisto di scanalature radiali destinato ad accogliere e scorrere sopra le palette di una girante portante solidalmente l'albero condotto. Ad ogni parziale traslazione nei due sensi del rotore rispetto alla girante di realizzano variazioni dello spazio volumetrico tra le palette interessate dal flusso di fluido e quindi corrispondenti variazioni, di senso contrario, della velocità di rotazione della girante e del relative albero condotto.
