Abstract

Un elettrodo di ossido di nichel, intercalato con ioni litio, viene ottenuto:- evaporando termicamente sotto vuoto ossido di nichel (Ni2O3) e depositando su un substrato di vetro conduttore un film di ossido di nichel nel quale il rapporto atomico tra nichel ed ossigeno varia da 0,7/1 a 0,9/1, fino ad uno spessore dell'ordine di 100 nm; e - attivando il film sottile di ossido di nichel mediante intercalazione elettrochimica di una quantità di ioni litio con carica da 100 a 1.000 C/m2.- Viene descritta una finestra elettrocromica comprendente:- (a) un elettrodo di ossido di tungsteno (WO3) su una lastra di vetro trasparente e conduttrice; (b) un elettrodo di ossido di nichel attivato per intercalazione elettrochimica di litio, su una lastra di vetro trasparente e conduttrice; e (c) un elettrolita interposto tra detti elettrodo (a) come sopra descritto.
