Abstract

The ignition coil device consists of at least two metallic (99.9% pure aluminium) conductive sheets (B,B') insulated from each other by sheets or layers of dielectric (5-10 micron polypropylene sheet or equivalent) insulating material (A) wound into a roll and impregnated with epoxy resin. One sheet is provided with a connector (1) and the other sheet two connectors (2,3) one at either end so that, after winding on a plastic reel, a capacitor is formed between connections (1) and (2) in series with an inductance, of known impedance, between connections (2) and (3).
