Abstract

The converter which converts an unstabilised d.c. supply into three stabilised d.c. output voltages (U1,2,3) has two chopper stages (1,2) connected by transformer stages to two half wave rectifiers (3,4) with pairs of associated diodes (D1,2; D3,4) and two rectifiers (17a,b) with further pairs of diodes (D5,6; D7,8). These are followed by three filters (5,6,18) for the three outputs. The two choppers give output voltages (Ua,b) regulated by shifting the leading edges of the first output pulses and shifting the trailing edges of the second output pulses. Two output voltages are obtained after rectification and smoothing. The third output (U3) is obtained by connecting in parallel the outputs of the two rectifiers (17a,b) which are full wave rectifiers to a common filter (18). This is regulated by varying the phase position of the two chopper output voltages.
