Abstract
The system for recovery of digital data from an input data flow allows the acceptable level of a signal to be determined. The signal is preceded by a leading synchronised pulse. A receiver accepts the input digital signal and provides an output for connection to other circuits. A signal level comparator operates after reception of the input signal following the sync. pulse, using a higher level then the reference level in order to produce a control signal. Amplitude logic (AL) counts the number of control signals emitted, and produces a digital signal concerning the number. A digital-to-analogue converter (DAC1) acts in response to the digital count to produce an analogue logic level which serves as the new reference level.
