Abstract

The two valves of a double-beat valve assembly have respective closure members one of which is fixed to, while the other is sliable on an operating spindle which is common to both members. The movable member is connected to one end of the spindle by a sleeve thereon. Both sleeve and spindle extend through a bearing to the exterior of the valve housing where a screw adjustment is provided for moving the sleeve and thus the slidable member relative to the fixed closure member. Adjustment for simultaneous seating of both members is therefore possible from outside the housing, so that the valve gives a tight closure and forces on the spindle due to pressure differences are compensated.
