Abstract

The valve comprises a valve housing (4) having connections (1), (2) (3) for control supply and discharge medium, annular channels (5, 6) at the connections (2) and (3), and a control slide valve (7), having control edges (8, 9) respectively associated with the channels. The position of the slide valve is determined by the control pressure obtaining on one side and by a helical primary spring (10) on the other side. A secondary helical spring (11) is concentrically received within the primary spring and is held captive within a sleeve (12). The length of spring (10) is significantly greater than the secondary spring. The pretension of the secondary spring is adjustable within the sleeve by an abutment (13), the axial position of which can be varied by screwthreads before or after assembly of the valve. <IMAGE>
