Abstract
derivs. of formula (I) and their acid-addn. salts are new: (where R1 and R2 are alkyl or NR1R2 is a 5- or 6-membered heterocycle opt. contg. another-heteroatom; R3 is phenyl opt. p-substd. by alkyl, halogen, NO2 or amino). Cpds. (I) are CNS stimulants and respiratory analeptic agents useful for treatment or prophylaxis of respiratory insufficiency. A typical cpd. is 8-dimethylamino-methyl-7-methoxy-2-p-tolyl-3-phenyl-chromone. In an example, this is prepd. from dimethylamine and the corresp. 8-chloromethyl cpd.
