Abstract
3-Substd-amino-2, 1-benziosothiazoles of formula (I) and their acid addn. salts are new: In (I) R1 = H, methyl or ethyl, Ri = Gp. A, -CH2-CHOH-CH2-NR4R5 or -Y-NR4R5 or R1 and R2 together with the N atom = piperazino, N-lower alkylpiperazino or N-phenylpiperazino, R3 = methyl or ethyl, R4, R5 independently = H, lower alkyl or lower hydroxyalkyl or together with the N atom = pyrrolidino, piperidino, hexamethyleneimino, piperazino, N-lower alkyl-piperazino or N-phenyl-piperazino, Y = 2-8C alkylene and separates the two N atoms by at least 2C atoms, X in position 4,5,6 or 7 = methoxy or halo and n = 1 or 2, or may also be 0 when R2 = Gp.A. Lower alkyl is defined as 1-4C atoms). (I) are antiinflammatories which maybe administered orally or parenterally in doses of 25-500 mg. 16-Chloro-3-(4-diethylamino)-1-methylamino)-2, 1-benzisothiazole (cpd. A) and its acid addn. salts are specifically claimed.
