The underwater ground excavator has the underwater pump portion carried on an excavator body including stabilizer sleds. An excavation portion protrudes downward and rearward under the excavator body. Water is delivered from the underwater pump portion to the excavation portion and then ejected from jet nozzles of the excavation portion so as to excavate the ground under water. A sinker arm is erected at a free end of the excavation portion in a manner to ascend and descend with upward and downward motions of the free end. By joining to the sinker arm a brake equipment which suppresses the ascent, the stability of the excavator is improved.
