Claims (7)

45199/2 - Claims 1. A substantially water soluble seed sheet made of Amendment under an Integral single layer of Section 65 polyvinyl alcohol material Into which are entrapped or encapsulated viable seeds. 2. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined in claim 1, wherein herbicides, fertilizers, and other materials are contained In the sheet to promote seed growth. 3. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined In claim 1, further containing carbon black to ndirectly enhance germination of the seeds. 4. A substantially wate soluble seed sheet as defined In claim 1, wherein the sheet contains a plastlclzer to render 1t more flexible. 5. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined 1n claim 4, wherein the plastlclzer 1s selected from the group consisting of polyethylene glycol, glycerin, ethylene glycol, tr ethylene glycol, and ethanolamlne. 6. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined n claim 1 wherein the thickness of the sheet varies from 0.5 to 10 thousandths of an nch. 7. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined In claim 5, wherein the thickness of the sheet 1s about 2 thousandths of an Inch and corresponding to a percentage of polyvinyl alcohol material of about 5%. 1. A substantially water soluble seed sheet made of polyvinyl alcohol material into which are entrapped or encapsulated viable seeds.
2. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined in claim 1 , wherein herbicides, fertilizers, and other materials are contained in the sheet to promote seed growth.
3. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined in claim 1, further contai nlng carbon black to indirectly enhance germination of the seeds.
4. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined in claim 1 , wherein the sheet contains a plasticizer to render it more flexible.
5. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined in claim 4, wherein the plasticizer is selected from the group consisting of polyethylene glycol, glycerin, ethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, and ethanol ami ne .
6. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined in claim 1 wherein the thickness of the sheet varies from 0.5 to 10 thousandths of an inch.
7. A substantially water soluble seed sheet as defined in claim 5, wherein the thickness of the sheet is about 2 thousandths of an inch and corresponding to a percentage of polyvinyl alcohol material of about 5%. For the Applicants Wolff, Bregman and Goller
