Abstract

Commercially packaged organic dyestuffs, contg. amts. of dyestuffs requried for any particular use comprise the dry powdered dyestuff or optical brightener enclosed in a casing made of a material which is soluble in a solvent appropriate for the prepn. of a dyeing soln. or paste, the encased dyestuff or optical brightener being opt. enclosed in a second casing which is pref. water-impermeable. Casings formed from water-sol. sheet are esp. suitable as containers for pre-dosed amts. of water-sol. dyestuffs resp. water-sol. reactive dyestuffs. Preferred water-sol. sheet material is PVA opt. plasticised with e.g. ethylene glycol, 6-75 mu thick. [FR2078274A5]
