Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the preservation stability of the oxygen detecting member in order to recognize the presence of oxygen in the package in which food and the like are sealed in the case of preserving the food and the like by using the oxygen absorber by carrying a particular composition on the impregnated carrier.
CONSTITUTION: The filter paper 1 is dyed by the solution of A component comprising a dye such as Methylene Blue forming leuco by the operation of alkali compound and reductant, and dye or pigment which is not discoloured, if desired, by the action of the alkali compound and the reductant and thereafter dried. Then, B component comprising alkali compound, reductant, water, alcohol, for example, glycerine and water soluble polymer is carried by the filter paper 1. This filter paper 1 is packed by a packaging material such as polyethylene 2 having the steam permeation of 2.0g/100in2/mil for 24 hours at the temperature of less than 37.8°C and the oxygen permeation of 100cc/100in2/mil for 24 hours at atmospheric pressure at the temperature higher than 25°C.
