Description

DEVICE FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL TREATMENT OF WATER IN DUCT Field of the Invention The invention relates to devices for electrochemical treatment of water in a duct and can be used in the medical, agricultural, food and cosmetic industries, as well as in everyday life.
Prior Art Simple and effective new generation water treatment devices making it possible to obtain water of top quality in real time have been developed on the bases if unique Russian technologies and patented devices and methods.
In particular, a utility model taught in patent RU74910 U1, 20.07.2008, cl. C02F 1/discloses a water activation device comprising a cylindrical reactor vessel with a package of electrodes located in it, with a movable open top inverse cone having a vertical handle placed in the upper part of the reactor vessel, said cone capable of moving vertically along the guide. A fine filtering element is placed inside the filter tank and fastened to the bottom of the filter tank by means of a mushroom knob.
The disadvantage of this device is its cumbersomeness, i.e. 5 l of water is treated at a time, the treated water loses its activity on the third day. The device requires frequent preventive maintenance of the filter (10-12 l of water, then rinsing and acid treatment), frequent mechanical cleaning of the anode, for which it must be removed with a special key not included in installation set, specific requirements for the salinity of the treated water and its temperature.
An electrochemical water treatment device shown in patent RU2531284 C1, 20.10.2014, cl. C02F 1/46 provides a technical solution closest to the present invention. Said device comprises a power supply unit with working current stabilization, a cathode, an anode with holes, a housing crimping said anode, an insulator for fixing the cathode centrally, a lid and a handle filled by sealant.
Failure of said device to continuously perform electrochemical water activation in flow is its major disadvantage, which drastically narrows its application range.
Summary of the Invention The device disclosed herein was developed with a view of boosting its output while bringing down the cost.
Said technical challenge is responded to by a device for electrochemical water treatment in a duct comprising a housing an inlet nozzle and an outlet nozzle, a power supply unit, electrodes in the form of an anode and cathodes wherein the housing with the inlet and the outlet nozzles is one of the two cathodes, and a tubular anode with holes spaced along its length installed inside the housing through sealing gaskets and insulating elements, the second cathode constituting a solid rod element installed inside said anode through the insulating elements placed on its opposite ends, said cathode fixed on outer sides of the insulating elements by detachable connections; voltage to one of said connections can be applied from the power supply unit by means of a cable while voltage to the anode can be applied via a current conductive element placed in one of the insulators. The housing with the inlet and outlet nozzles is capable to support three operation modes by changing the surface area of the anode and the two cathodes at the same voltage and the same flow rate of water being activated.
The insulating elements and the sealing gaskets are made of fluorine plastic.
The anode constitutes an aluminum tube and the inner cathode constitutes a stainless steel rod.
The technical effect achieved by the invention taught in this patent is higher quality water treatment.
Brief Description of the Drawings The displayed figure depicts a cross-section of the general arrangement of the device for electrochemical water treatment in a duct.
