Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to measure the thickness of a film and a film forming speed by condensing and applying white light on an oxide superconductor film in the formed film, and measuring the intensity of the spectrum of the reflected light from the illuminated part. CONSTITUTION: Raw material gas and O2 are made to flow into a reaction tube 9. A YBa2Cu3OX film is formed on a single-crystal substrate 1 of MgO. The white light of a tungsten lamp 12 is condensed and applied on the film through a condenser lens 13, a chopper 14 and an incident window 10. The reflected light is condesed with a condenser lens 16 after passing a reflected light window 11. The spectrum of the reflected light is measured with a monochrometer 17 and a photomultiplier 18. The output is inputted into a lock-in amplifier 19 together with the signal from the chopper 14. The signal from the amplifier 19 is operated and processed with a computer 20. Thus, the film thickness of the material in the formed film and the film forming speed can be readily measured in real time[JPS5272923A]
