1447329 Preparation of sulphonyl benzamide derivatives SOC D'ETUDES SCIENTIFIQUES ET INDUSTRIELLES DE L'ILE - DEFRANCE 23 Sept 1974 [28 Sept 1973] 41314/74 Heading C2C A method of preparing 2,5-disubstituted benzamides having the general formula in which A is a C 1 to C 5 monoalkylamino or di- (C 1 to C 5 alkyl) amino radical, a nitrogen attached saturated heterocyclic ring optionally containing an oxygen, sulphur or second nitrogen atom, the second nitrogen atom optionally having a C 1 to C 5 alkyl substituent attached to it, or a heterocyclic radical having the formula in which R is a C 1 to C 5 alkyl radical or an alkenyl radical and m is 1, 2, 3 or 4, B is a C 1 to C 5 alkyl radical or an alkenyl radical; n is 1 or 2 and X is an amino, monoalkylamino, dialkylamino, alkyl or alkenyl radical, comprises heating a 2,5-disubstituted benzoic acid having the formula in which B and X are as above with an amine having the formula H 2 N(CH 2 ) n A in which A and n are as above, in the presence of phosphoric anhydride.
