1445257 Preparation of sulphonylbenzamide derivatives SOC D'ETUDES SCIENTIFIQUES ET INDUSTRIELLES DE L'ILE-DEFRANCE 30 Sept 1974 [4 Oct 1973] 42278/74 Heading C2C The invention comprises a process for the preparation of a compound of Formula I wherein A is a C 1-5 monoalkylamino or di- (C 1-5 alkyl)amino radical, a nitrogen attached saturated heterocyclic ring optionally an oxygen, sulphur or second nitrogen atom, the second nitrogen atom optionally having a C 1-5 alkyl group attached thereto, or a heterocyclic radical of Formula Ia in which R is a C 1-5 alkyl radical or an alkenyl radical and m is 1, 2, 3 or 4; B is a C 1-5 alkyl radical or an alkenyl radical; n is 1 or 2 and X is an amino, monoalkylamino, dialkylamino, alkyl or alkenyl radical, that comprises heating a 2,5- disubstituted benzoic acid of Formula II in which B and X are as defined above with an amine of Formula III in which A is as defined above in the presence of trichlorophenyl silane and optionally converting the product to an acid-addition salt by reaction with a pharmaceutically-acceptable mineral or organic acid or to a quaternary ammonium salt by reaction with a quaternizing agent.
