Abstract
1360333 Ignition compositions FRANCE ARMED FORCES MINISTER OF 3 Aug 1972 [31 Aug 1971] 36306/72 Heading C1D An ignition powder comprises, by weight, 20-40% aluminium, 0-12% zirconium, 39- 64% potassium perchlorate, 3-25% polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and 0À5-2% aluminium stearate. The presence of PTFE lowers the sensitivity of the powder and increases the resistance to crushing of pellets formed from the powder. The compositions are useful for the ignition of solid propergol blocks, as primary charges, or as relay charges.
