Abstract

1505663 Incendiary compositions DOW CORNING CORP 19 May 1975 [11 July 1974] 21214/75 Heading C1D An incendiary composition consists of magnesium powder, an oxidizer or mixture of oxidisers, and a silicone rubber binder. The composition may comprise, by weight, 20-40% of magnesium powder, at least 10% of elastomeric polysiloxane, and, as an oxidizer, either 30-60% of Fe 3 O 4 , MnO 2 , or TiO 2 , or 20-30% of particulate polytetrafluoroethylene. Compositions containing different oxidizers may be mixed in order to adjust the density of the mixed composition close to that of the explosive with which it is to be used.
