Abstract

A tire of reduced weight and greater strength is obtained by restraining the radial carcass on the inside by means of a shoulder ply arranged on the inside of the carcass at each end of the crown reinforcement so as to impart a nearly rectangular meridian profile to the carcass. [US3789900A]
