1357317 Preparing 6-aminopenicillanic acid BEECHAM GROUP Ltd 25 Aug 1971 [27 Aug 1970 4 Aug 1971] 41262/70 and 36601/71 Heading C2A [Also in Division C3] 6 - Aminopenicillanic acid is obtained by treating benzylpenicillin with a penicillin acylase bonded to a water insoluble substrate by means of a di-aldehyde. In the example a penicillinase bonded by means of glutaraldehyde to nylon is used to convert BP in sodium phosphate buffer at pH 8 and 37‹ C. to 6-APA. (see also Division C3) [GB1357317A]
