Abstract

A coating is formed on a substrate, the coating comprising (a) a liquid resin/pigment mixture and (b) another liquid which is not a resin/pigment mixture and which does not form, in the coating conditions, a homogeneous mixture with (a). The coated substrate is then dried. The resin consists of a polymer comprising or contg. ethylacrylate, butylacrylate, MMA, methacrylic acid or acrylamide. Used in decorative coating of leather which, when stretched, will show the applied coating as an attractive irregular pattern. [FR2062292A5]
