Abstract

The present invention relates to a door fitting with an outer locking plate (10) having a circumferential edge (11). The door fitting has at least one insert plate (14) and the locking plate (10) covers a threaded sleeve (20) fixed on the insert plate (14) and an external handle or button (18). Description

The present invention relates to a door hardware having an outer locking plate. The outer locking plate has a circumferential edge. The outer locking plate comprises at least one insert plate and covers a threaded sleeve mounted on the insert plate and protected from drilling. The outer locking plate also carries an external handle or button. The hardware also has an internal locking plate which includes a base plate with protrusions for screws. The outer and inner locking plates can be screwed with threaded bushes through a door leaf. The hardware further comprises a bearing sleeve on the inner locking plate for an inner handle having a rectangular bore for rotationally releasing a rectangular bar on the opposite end of the outer handle or button. The hardware is adapted to accommodate a cylinder lock, which may optionally be provided externally with a cylindrical cover, with reliefs on the outer and inner locking plates and on the insert plate.

These types of hardware are particularly used as so-called protective hardware where they have higher requirements for strength and safety.

In a conventional solution, such as DE-U8 513 871, a hardened steel plate underneath an outer locking plate of a hardware set and then a die-cast cover plate, which by its very nature, resulted in a serious embodiment. To protect against drilling, hardened protrusions were provided at the attachment points (compare DE-U-8 023 871); DE-U-8 716 550 discloses a protective sheet for the outer cover of a cylinder lock.

An assembly of hardware which can be better adapted to different requirements is known from EP-B-0 502 319. This uses a cell or rib structure as a stopper body in which the cylinder lock cover is resiliently and releasably secured and comprises at least one sheet of steel in a protrusion on the outside. This results in a costly, multi-component embodiment where the die-casting (spider) impact body requires a special design for each of the different dimensions, thus making storage more expensive besides manufacturing.

It is an important object of the present invention to overcome these and other drawbacks of the present state of the art by economical means and to provide improved door reinforcement which, if desired, satisfies medium, elevated and high protection requirements. It must be quick and precise to install. We have tried to make the construction as simple as possible, which also gives room for local conditions.

According to the invention, the above object is solved by a door fitting having an outer locking plate having an outer locking plate having a circumferential edge. The outer locking plate is provided with at least one insert plate and also covers a threaded sleeve fixed on the insert plate and protected against drilling. The outer lock cover plate further comprises an external handle or button. The hardware has an internal locking plate which includes a base plate with protrusions for screws. The outer and inner locking plate can be screwed with threaded bushes through a door leaf. The inner locking plate has a bearing sleeve for an inner handle having a rectangular bore for rotationally releasing a rectangular bar at the opposite end of the outer handle or button. The outer and inner lock cover plates and the insert plate have recesses for receiving a cylinder lock which may optionally be provided with a cylindrical cover from the outside. According to the invention, the circumferential edge of the liner protrudes inwardly with respect to its surface extent, and it and the outer lock cover plate are raised on the door leaf. The liner thus formed has the basic structure of a flat jacket, which is extremely stable due to the circumferential edge and thus rests completely on the door leaf. The outer locking plate thus covered forms a substantially uniform outer surface on the carrier body of the liner. This can be fastened quickly and reliably with threaded pins.

Geometrically, it is advantageous for the circumferential edge to run with an inner abutment flange tensioned on a plane and closed on a circumferential flange substantially perpendicular to this plane. Here, the circumferential flange may optionally be bent by a bending radius, i.e. not a sharp corner, so that a rounded relief is provided inside. At the same time, with high form strength, this provides the best connection between the internal and external elements.

A very important enhancement is that the liner is at least substantially enveloping a bracing plate. This provides extraordinary strength in a simple way, so that the hardware can withstand strong violent external influences. Preferably, the stiffening plate has a circumferential edge which runs in a shape and sealingly aligned with the circumferential edge of the liner so that the abutting edges are flush. Since both plates are penetrated by the threaded bushings and secured by the plates, a very solid stop body is produced which itself can withstand very hard penetration attempts. Preferably, the liner and / or stiffener is made of hardened steel so that it provides very strong resistance to drilling and destruction attempts.

It is advantageous for the assembly, as a durable assurance of the suitability for use, to have an insert for supporting the insert plate on the door, which also leads to the cylinder lock cover. This internal support may advantageously be configured such that the flange of the reinforcing plate extending into a hole in the insert plate includes a cylinder lock cover, namely a centralizing ring provided in the latter. These flanges are bent to the insert plate and the cylinder lock cover is wrapped around its outer rim. This means that, on the one hand, the cylinder lock cover is absolutely secure above and, on the other hand, a cylinder profile fitted to the door and door hardware is practically play-free.

Preferably, the insert is preferably a plastic component and is rigidly connected to the insert or stiffening plate, in particular being glued. This results in careful positioning. When the insert is designed as an oval ring, which is flush with the circular rib on the door leaf, high shape and dimensional stability can be achieved in a simple manner, which further enhances the functionality of the hardware.

A further advantageous embodiment consists in that the outer locking plate and the plate underneath it, or all the plates below it, have a recessed hole for a neck of a shape-molded button. So, here too, the building cabinet principle is applied, since this design allows the mounting of different buttons on these or similar subassemblies, where, depending on the situation, it can be decided in which direction the assembly should be done (pointing left or right on the door, depending on collision). A practical embodiment is designed such that in particular four semicircular ribs are circumferentially circumferentially distributed in the circumference of the receiving portions and, accordingly, in the circumference of the receiving holes. The exact form sealing allows quick and secure mounting and rotation safety. When using an external handle instead of a door knob, a sliding bearing is provided for the handle portion on the impact body.

For added security, the cylinder lock cover rotates the bearing plate with a keyhole, without a hole, in a protective body. This allows a key to be inserted into the lock and further improves the protection of the cylinder lock against violent attacks. The lock is covered outwardly through the protective body and is therefore also drill protected.

It is also possible that the insert has locking lugs for securing the position of the cylinder lock cover. For example, two spring bridges on the periphery of the liner opposite each other on the periphery of the liner may be used as an anchor. These cover the outside-mounted protective body, so the position-safe position is self-contained.

In another development, it is suggested that the motherboard be retained resiliently in the inner locking plate. This base plate optionally includes bends and these reinforced elastic support members, which have chamfers for a strong and deformable abutment on the circumferential edge of the inner locking plate. Preferably, the plastic clamps are arranged under the inner steel washer so that they are secured through the protrusions provided for screwing into the threaded bushings of the outer hardware. Through the folds, the ends of the motherboard face up, i.e. towards the outer locking plate, under which the plastic clamps can be located. These chamfers are preferably designed to pull the inner locking plate against the door leaf without the need for a back cut in the locking plate.

It is also advantageous for at least two steel plates to have shaped holes that are provided as predetermined fixed dimensions as multiple locking reliefs through one another. The distances between this type of handle-rotary shaft and the cylinder-lock shaft are standardized in each country; for example, in Germany and the Netherlands the standard sizes are 55 mm, 72 mm and 92 mm. Thus, in accordance with the present invention, the stiffener plate and the base plate each bore two or three such sizes on the inner locking plate in a single bore, while the outer insert plate is punched only once to the appropriate size for increased burglary prevention. An inner drill shield, which may be disposed on the liner and / or the stiffener in the vicinity of the cylinder lock, can be slid to each size. It is optionally connected to the circumferential edge of the liner or reinforcing plate in a form and material-tight manner, i.e. fixed in position by lateral compression and impressions.

As a self-evident protection, it may be desirable for the door hardware of the present invention to have an external handle in the form of a button on the outer lock cover plate for screwing in a rectangular bar with a pin. In a second version of the door fitting according to the invention, it is suggested, according to the invention, that the shift pin be screwed into and out of the knob by means of a mounting sleeve. The mounting sleeve is a particularly effective aid, especially if the mounting sleeve has a rectangular bore for pushing it onto the rectangular bar and that it can be safely rotated. So no additional tool is needed; parts of a hardware kit already allow quick and very convenient installation. It requires particularly little effort when the square bar is tension-resistant and pivotally connected to a hexagon which forms a piece with the thread section and is encircled by an inner hexagon of the mounting sleeve. Thus, when the inner handle is pushed up by the assembler to the quadriceps of the shifting pin, the mounting sleeve is carried with the handle, the lever of which is acting as a wrench.

The door hardware according to Fig. 1 consists of a set comprising an outer locking plate 10 and an inner locking plate 40. The threaded bushes 20 penetrate the steel 14.72 insert and brace plates, preferably in three locations, namely near the end of the door lock body and approximately in the center, adjacent to the handle and button part 19.
