Abstract

Αι στάθμαι χολερυθρίνης εις τον ορόν των θηλαστικών ελέγχονταικατόπιν της παροχής εις την εντερικήν οδόν του θηλαστικού μιας ουσίας/ενός "αποενεργοποιητού χολερυθρίνης"/η οποία μετατρέπει την μη συζευγμένην χολερυθρίνην εις μη τοξικά, φυσιολογικώς συμβατά προϊόντα, οπότε μειώνεται τοιουτοτρόπως η επαναρρόφησις της μη συζευγμένης χολερυθρίνης εις την εντεροηπατικήν κυκλοφορίαν.Οι χρήσιμοι αποενεργοποιηταί χολερυθρίνης περιλαμβάνουν εκείνους οι οποίοι προσφορούν ειδικώς την χολερυθρίνην και εκκρίνονται, καθώς και "ένζυμα μετατροπής χολερυθρίνης", δηλαδή ένζυμα λειτουργούντα επί του μη συζευγμένου υποστρώματος χολερυθρίνης δια την απόδοσιν προϊόντων τα οποία είναι φυσιολογικώς συμβατά, δεδομένου ότι δεν είναι επαναπορροφήσιμα ή, ενα είναι επαναπορροφήσιμα, θα είναι μη τοξικά εις το ρεύμα του αίματος.ω
