Abstract

Η εφεύρεση αναφέρεται σε μέθοδο (και τις διατάξεις που την υλοποιούν) για την αναβάθμιση της ποιότητας των αποκαλούμενων ως «εμπλουτισμένων καυσαερίων»: δηλαδή του μίγματος καυσαερίων, πτητικών αερίων και ατμών που προκύπτουν από τη θέρμανση οργανικής μάζας (2) -και, κατά προτίμηση, βιομάζας ή αστικών απορριμμάτων- μέσω της άμεσης προσβολής της, εντός κατάλληλου θαλάμου, αποκαλούμενου αντιδραστήρα (1), από τα θερμά καυσαέρια που προέρχονται από έναν χώρο καύσης. Η μέθοδος αναβάθμισης της σύστασης και της ποιότητας των εμπλουτισμένων καυσαερίων βασίζεται στην διέλευση αυτών των εμπλουτισμένωνκαυσαερίων μέσω μιας συσκευής η οποία αποκαλείται μονάδα πύρωσης (50) και η οποία εμπεριέχει πυρωμένα τεμάχια άνθρακα (5). Η επαφή των εμπλουτισμένων καυσαερίων με την διάπυρη επιφάνεια των ανθράκων αυτών προκαλεί ενδόθερμες αντιδράσεις και μετασχηματισμό των ανθρακσύχων ενώσεων που περιέχονται σε αυτά. Η θερμοκρασία των ανθράκων αυτών διατηρείται χάρη στην ελεγχόμενη ροή, δια μέσου αυτών, ενός οξειδωτικού μέσου -και κατά προτίμηση αέρα- το οποίο μέσο εκρέει από ακροφύσιο οξειδωτικού μέσου (7), τροφοδοτούμενο από αγωγό προσαγωγής οξειδωτικού μέσου (7Α). Βασικό στοιχείο της παρούσας εφεύρεσης είναι το γεγονός ότι η ροή οξειδωτικού μέσου, δια μέσου των ανθράκων (5) της ομάδας πύρωσης δύναται να μην είναι συνεχής αλλά αυξομειούμενη ή διακοπτόμενη επαναληπτικά. Προτείνεται η παρουσία αισθητήρα θερμοκρασίας, (100) στο εσωτερικό της ροής αερίων που διατρέχει την μάζα των διάπυρων ανθράκων (5) προκειμένου, μέσω ηλεκτρονικού ελέγχου από ψηφιακή μονάδα (101), να προσδιορίζεται η εκάστοτε αναγκαία ροή οξειδωτικού μέσου προς την μονάδα πύρωσης και να βελτιστοποιείται η λειτουργία του συστήματος, με την ελάχιστη δυνατή κατανάλωση άνθρακα (5) κατά την εξώθερμη αντίδραση της μερικής ή ολικής καύσης του μέσα στη ροή του οξειδωτικού μέσου.
