Abstract
Περιγράφεται μια μέθοδος βιολογικής επεξεργασίας υπογείων νερών που περιέχουν σίδηρο, μαγγάνιο και αρσενικό με σκοπό την ταυτόχρονη απομάκρυνσή τους.Ο σίδηρος και το μαγγάνιο απομακρύνονται με οξείδωση που προκαλείται από τους μικροοργανισμούς οξείδωσης σιδήρου και μαγγανίου και το αρσενικό μπορείεπίσης να οξειδωθεί από τους ίδιους μικροοργανισμούς και ταυτόχρονα με το σίδηρο και το μαγγάνιο ναπροσροφηθεί στα οξείδια του σιδήρου και του μαγγανίου και να απομακρυνθεί από το υπόγειο νερό. Η εφεύρεση μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για την ταυτόχρονηαπομάκρυνση σιδήρου, μαγγανίου και αρσενικού από τα υπόγεια νερά χωρίς τη χρήση χημικών αντιδραστηρίων.
