Abstract

The invention comprises disperse disazo dyes of formula <FORM:0998705/C4-C5/1> wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are hydrogen or chlorine atoms or alkyl or alkoxy radicals containing 1 or 2 carbon atoms and A and B are benzene or naphthalene nuclei. The dyes are prepared by coupling an appropriate diazotized aminoazo compound with 4-tert.-octyl-phenol. The dyes are used to colour polyolefine textiles and fibres in yellow, orange or brown shades. The preparation of the dyes and their use in dyeing is described in examples.
