A twin or double suitcase handle comprises two members engageable to form a carrying handle in which the mating surfaces of the members are equipped with fastening elements disposed at the outer corners of the surfaces beyond the median gripping area and the handles pivot at the same points. The elements may be interlocking longitudinal grooves and projections, surface flush magnets or a projecting magnet contacting a recessed magnet. Specification 946,982 is referred to.
