A heat-insulated handle or grip for a receptacle comprises a strong plate 11 a part of which is sandwiched between two insulating halves 12, 13, each half having on the face applied to the plate, a corresponding groove 12 1 13 1 in which the plate is seated and flexible clamping members whose opposite edges 18 1 , 18 2 , fit in the respective edge grooves 12<SP>1</SP> 2 , 13<SP>1</SP> 2 provided adjacent the lateral edges of the halves. For preventing relative longitudinal movement of the insulating halves and the plate, pins or small retaining keys are provided which engage in lateral recesses in the parts. The plate 20 may be fastened to the receptacle by one or both ends.
