Abstract

996,210. Separable containers. BIBBY & BARON (HOLDINGS) Ltd. March 11, 1964 [March 11, 1963], No. 9629/63. Heading B5D. [Also in Division B8] A sheet of paper 1 (Fig. 1) having areas of adhesive 2, 2a, insertion openings 3, and openings 4 and 7 is folded about the lines 5, sealed to form a tube and then sealed across the areas 2. The bags so formed (Fig. 3) are fed through a coin sorting machine by means of a pegged roller co-operating with notches 7, and are opened to be filled by plungers entering the back through holes 4, and pushing the front face outwardly. After filling, the bag may be sealed with the adhesive 2a and torn from the tube. Adhesive strip 2a may be so wide as to enable the bag to be sealed, opened by tearing off the end piece, and then resealed. The slit 3 may be arcuate, as shown, or may be rectangular, and heat sealing adhesive may be used. The bags may be flat or have gussetted sides, and may be made from paper coated with a thermoplastic film, e.g. polythene. Additional holes may be provided to view the contents.
