993,928. Castors. JOSEPH GILLOTT & SONS Ltd. May 5, 1964 [July 6, 1963], No. 26856/63. Heading A4U. A castor has a shank 1 rotatably secured at the upper end by a circlip 3 in a socket 2, the lower cranked part having rotatably mounted thereon a roller 6 of dome form and having a nylon bearing bush 7 in a recess 8, the bush being in two equal portions provided with a circumferential rib 10 which engages with an annular groove in the spindle part 5 of shank 1, the roller 6 having an interior rib which snaps into engagement with a shallow groove 13 in the bush 7 when the castor is assembled. In modifications the bush is divided into three segments or has a single split to allow it to be sprung into engagement with the spindle.
