993,863. Rotary brushes. OSBORN MANUFACTURING CO. April 3, 1962 [May 31, 1961], No. 7380/64. Divided out of 993,861. Drawings to Specification. Heading A4K. In laminar brush elements, as in Specification 900,283, having glass or wire filaments embedded in plastic plates, hard brittle filaments, to promote rapid brushing action, are mixed with more ductile filaments to prevent break-up of the elements in the event of fracture of the hard filaments at high speeds of rotation of the brush. The hard filaments may be of glass or of steel having a Kroop hardness greater than 700. The disclosure is otherwise the same as in Specification 993,861. Specification 993,862 also is referred to.
