[Also in Division Fl] A hand actuated double acting diaphragm pump comprises body members 1, 3 between which the diaphragm 41 is clamped so that a peripheral bead enters recesses formed in the members 1, 3 to form a seal. The members 1, 3 have outwardly converging flanges 17, 21 and are held together by arcuate clamps 45 the included angle between the arms of the clamps being less than the angle AB of the assembled flanges 17, 21. The members 1, 3 are provided with flanges 11, 13, and 8, 9, Fig. 1, which mate with similar flanges on outlet and inlet connections 7, 5, valve units being clamped between the assembled flanges which again converge outwardly and are held together by arcuate clamps 109. Projections are provided on the clamps and locate in recesses in the flanges.
